Part #2

Point 1.Fighting for freedom with the fear.

Example 1; The Fear you have toward an object will out grow from courage,It will push it aside. What courage does to fear is it conquers the fear you have within you and help you get the job done. Courage has its own agenda we see it in  different form in our daily lives. It have its own shapes and sizes. For example, Martin Luther King fought for civil rights for the African American Community with no fear for himself because he wanted his fellow African American to have all the rights as other citizen. Hence, because of his courage act we all stand together as of today.

At times it might be hard to realize the strength within yourself and gather the courage to fight your fear or insecurities but it is only courage that helps you grow and become who you really are.

  • Courage is not the absence of fear but rather something the judgment that something else is more important than fear.

The courage to do anything outside of our comfort zone comes with a great outcome.  That price is integrity, mountainous mastery of a seemingly small task, and a new facet of character. You just have to pay attention for the small voice of courage inside you, reason, and integrity when fear tries to take over your strength. Let your courageous voice be louder than the negative one that tells you “you can’t.”  Hear only that, ignore the rest.

  • “The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”

Basically, it points out how words like “bravery” and “courage” as seen as antonyms to the words “fear” and “cowardice.” There is more to being courageous than conquering one’s fears.

Courage is often about doing what’s right, fighting for others, and being honest with own self and others. It will be difficult and that’s the point.

  1. Courage requires action and taking risk

If you don’t start with an action there is no courage in any sort of act you do. You have to risk your fear in order to get the result you want. Every little action requires courage; asking your parents to go out, telling your crush you like them or even step forward to something you are scared of like heights. Those all example requires you to be courageous.Courage is having faith in your own choices.

All our great leaders have made some choices and made some sacrifice to let us stand proud and up with our rights. MLK, Malala Yousafzai and so many more courageous heroes taught us how our little action can make such an impact on our lives and maybe someone else’s in future.

  • I found this article to be very introvert because it only speaks of how courage is known as something done with risk included or how you are not courageous unless you have accomplished something risky. Courage does have risk factor but not all courageous act has to be fully risky. This article misses the point of how little factors and little obstacles we face in our day to day lives. Just small act of kindness sometimes carries courage in it.
  • Courage also takes place in different places in our life. Whether it is tell your parents you have failed a test in your classes or you broke something at the house. Courage can have happen anywhere. We know our parents aren’t going to do something harmful us expect gourd or take to you about it. The fear of talking to your parents about something that can be fixed or its tempartnet. The level fear comes in this places and the fear still taking control of a person. In order to get rid of  that feeling that courage has to take place.
  • Even the community aren’t helping to step up for something. Even there is something  wrong happening in front of them. Bullying occur in every high school in United States whether what high school  you went. Students aren’t not stepping up and being courage because they are afraid or they just don’t care. Many students are afraid to be alone or being look at different. High school are hard to get adjusted, student have trouble to fit it and some don’t speak out because of it.

Part #3:

In all our lives we will face challenges.. and some of us if confronted with a tough challenge will face it, no matter what..that to me is being brave  and others will chicken out and retreat from a challenge that life puts to them, that is cowardly and it gets them nowhere.. they are not able or willing to face their ”inner fears” those can be small fears it doesn’t always have to be about life or death.. but if one has accepted to take a challenge… ”like for example it’s very hard for a person to stand up in class to hold a speech.. if they do it anyhow.. no matter how badly they do or if they stutter.. and as long as they give it their best shot.. they are brave.. if they say right away without even trying that they can’t do certain things that is a bit cowardly..” one should at least try something before one can know whether or not one can or cannot do something. Being brave gives you the disadvantage of confrontation, where as cowards have the advantage of avoiding it.

Part#4 :

  • Courage is the ability to do something difficult even when there’s risk. Courageous people do and say what they think is right despite opposition. courage is an important asset. It gives people the confidence to be themselves, risk their own social status to stand up for others, and share their work even in the face of criticism. Sometimes fear is more about excitement and thrill and passion than it is a warning that you are about to do something dangerous. It is important to remember that the hard things we have to do or say are actually rarely what make us uncomfortable. It is the fear we feel that makes us uneasy. Fear is the thing that in truth makes  actions hard, not the action that we think we are afraid of. We often lose our sight from courage and might think that’s the easy way out of stress or phobia but it pushing yourself from finding courage and pushing yourself from speaking for yourself, making changes that could help others live and work.
  • It seems that everyone has a desire to be considered courageous, and in a society today where equality has come to mean that all persons should be equal in everything the idea of courage has also become egalitarian and incredibly broad. It seems that everyone has a desire to be considered courageous, and in a society today where equality has come to mean that all persons should be equal in everything the idea of courage has also become egalitarian and incredibly broad.

Point 3. Colin Kaepernick sacrificed for his belief.

Previous San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick kneeled out during the national anthem. He did that because he was not injured but he was outraged. The reason he even kneeled down during our nation anthem was to protest or stand up for people. He was not happy how the Criminal Justice system was operating, “There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting aways with murder”. He was referring to incidents that were happening during the time where unarmed african american teenager were shot by the police. He was protesting by kneeling down in stadium. There was a huge debate going to toward racial conduct because the office who shoot the young teens were white and the vivict were african american. The media also supporting the office and only showing the part which make the officer look good by focusing on what neighborhood he is form and his background. The court also supporting the case by stating it was “accidental shooting. After the math, he was kicked out of the team and even the president of United State also threw some shades towards him by protesting in the National anthem. Since he was exiled from the NFL, he filed a grievance in contradiction of the NFL in which he accused owners of colluding by not signing him and keeping him out of the NFL. This scandal conclusion on August 30, 2018, which denied the NFL’s request to dismiss Kaepernick’s complaint. The NFL owners have colluded to keep him out of professional football. Kaepernick’s lawsuit against the league has been allowed to move forward.

Even though having the fear of getting kick out of the team and your fans not believing in you so much. Colin took the stand and sacrificed everything to what he believe in.

Respson; Colin kaepernick sacrificed for others harming himself and taking the stand for the African American community. His sacrifice was made of courage, courage took a stand within himself. He took the stand to fifiting to what he believed in even that would destroy his career. He a young Nfl players left everything and fought for the this country. Colin Kaepernick was kick out of the team without anyone backing him up. He was obtain  without any help. He quite the team and focus on his life, Nike a company supported his action and held him for standing for this believe. The company nike went to some hardship after the campaign supporting colin. The campaign said “ Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything”.

Counter argument :

  • Bad Courage can also backfire.

There is always two ways to look at a story. As courageous act includes making an impact or risking your life to achieve the desired goal; there also includes “bad courage” as in someone who is influenced to a different view as us and their choices don’t make an impact but they harm the other. Courage is seen as a limited resource and downgrade others. Terrorists like Charleston shooter Dylann Roof, Boston marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and so on, it didn’t mean they didn’t have courage. It takes courage to be able to risk yourself to harm others but its not called as courageous act because it clearly harms others and its influence in pure negativity which is called bad courage.

Another limited resource example, I would say for transgendered people. Not every person has knowledge about transgendered society. There are many conservatives who raise the visibility of transgendered people to call it socially destructive.

  • Response: Courage personified one’s desire to live in the face of a fear. In my opinion transgender is a hero. A person who is willing to embrace a new identity as a woman is courageous. It takes personal courage to go public with a very intimate decision. Knowing or having the fear of not getting accepted and still wanting to take up the challenge to prove yourself in the new identity is being courageous.

Part 5:

  1. It is important to make this distinction clear. Most people assume that it is confidence that helps them start new things, and confidence that keeps them going. I think courage is more important than confidence. Courage is the key point to control your mind over the negativity.
  2. Every day to day you are encountering a courageous act, small like talking to a friend who is down to let them lean on your shoulder or the big life challenging hurdles like going through some serious accidents. Everyone needs a positivity hand towards them. The uncertainty is always there — it is a given. However, our mind usually responds with fear. These uncertainties give rise to fear of failure, fear of loss, fear of rejection, fear of looking foolish, fear of being alone. It does help to be optimistic, and you can certainly derive comfort from your track record. Your history of successfully completing projects or tasks, acquiring new skills and maintaining your motivation and commitment can help. However, it is unrealistic to feel confident about a new task or project or skill.

Criticism for my own paper is the lack of evidence to support my premises. I believe I need some more counter examples along with my arguments.

Part #6:

  1. Courage is being able to do something despite your fear and having the belief in yourself.
  1. Paragliding or any fear that you hold in yourself, overcoming that leads you to believing that you can achieve more.
  2. Having the mindset that you can overcome anything.
  1. Courage requires action.
  1. Until and unless you don’t put your best foot forward you can never know what you can achieve.
  2. Every little step you take towards courageous act it only helps yourself and your surroundings.
  1. Colin Kaepernick sacrificed for what he believed in even knowing he would have ruin his career.

Part 7:

The problem of understanding courage is certainly not new. Throughout the centuries ancient and modern peoples have attempted to define and understand courage. Philosophers, soldiers and common citizens alike have struggled to understand what it is about an action that makes it courageous. Much is at stake in the response to this question because everyone wants to be considered courageous, but it certainly is possible that not everyone is. It seems that everyone has a desire to be considered courageous, and in a society today where equality has come to mean that all persons should be equal in everything the idea of courage has also become egalitarian and incredibly broad. Courage is a big deal. It messes up your hair. It doesn’t mean necessarily standing up to some dragon and slaying it, but it does mean doing what you know is right in the face of a lot of good reasons not to – such as fear, the effort required, the social risk, etc. On the plus side, it makes you feel like a lion. But you have to be careful that you’re not just making a scene or throwing a tantrum about some issue that should properly be dealt with personally, too. You don’t feel regret, it actually feels good. People may look up to you. At first you may seem bad or instantly develop a poor reputation, but if you keep being courageous, standing up to what you think is right, you will be true and people will notice.

Cons: It may come at the expense of you reputation, popularity, but not your honor, or self worth. Be courageous, you truly know what is right or wrong, do what is right. If you don’t stand up but think about it because it is right, I would not consider you a coward, but insecure and not very psychologically or mentally strong, rather inferior. Courage may come at a price, it is often displayed in movies as one’s life at risk, if not that than perhaps your own safety or security.
